Seminis Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Seminis is the largest developer, grower and marketer of fruit and vegetable seeds in the world. Seminis' hybrids claim to improve nutrition, boost crop yields, limit spoilage and reduce the need for chemicals. Their retail line includes over 3,500 seed varieties.

A former employee comments on the hard work on, "At Seminis you have to work early mornings, working outside regardless of weather and occasional travel. I learned you can not expect everyone to like you, nor that someone that is the only one in an industry to do something will think you are doing it the right way. For the most part great people, but a lack of communication. The hardest part was trying to deal with my allergies and keep myself alert enough to do my job effectively. I enjoyed working outside with the plants the most."

Corn Tech Research (Former Employee) says

"Work typically starts at 7:00 and usually ends in between the times 12:00 and 5:00. The timeline goes in the order of earbagging, break, taking down, break, setting up, break/go home, extra job, go home. The hardest part about this job is enduring the working conditions such as the heat, sun, dirt, mud, and bites/stings/cuts that may occur in the field. I enjoy the organization and socializing with all of the kind people there that create the great enviroment"

Research Technician (Former Employee) says

"We worked in corn fields. Doing plant analysis and maintenance for the field. We worked from about 7:00-1:00 or 2:00 depending on how much we got done during the day. The environment was fun. It was quiet in the morning when everyone was waking up and then loud and rambunctious later in the day. The management works in the field alongside us and often feels more like co-workers than bosses. The hardest part was the early mornings and the physical demands. Required a lot of bending over. The most enjoyable part would have to be the employees you work with.Fun, get paid for what you put in, get a raise for every year you return.physically demanding"

Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) says

"What I like about Seminis was the security of having/keeping a job, as far as the wage goes it’s not what average people call a fair wage. The training was the best experience I had there, so if u wanna work and be content for what you do for what you’ll get paid, either applying or planning to work your way up, then shipping and/or receiving or related positions is what your looking for."
